This tattoo is everything I wanted and needed it to be. It represents so much to me. First and foremost, my grandfather. At his service, we were at his grave and a butterfly just stayed around the entire time I played a song for him. Whenever I’ve needed him, a butterfly is there to remind me to be strong for him. Being placed where it is means I will see it often and think of him whenever I see it.
It also signifies personal growth. Everything I’ve gone through. Placement is perfect, especially being on my left forearm, for my personal struggle with self harm I’ve overcome and grown from. The butterflies going from small to large, it shows that I’ve gone from being a small and weak mind to being where I am now.

What Would You Do?: A transgender woman is insulted by a man at a diner. This is a really great segment they did where a trans woman, played by a real trans woman, is insulted and ridiculed by a man (played by an actor, of course) while she serves him at a diner. You’d be surprised at how many people butted in to defend her.

So much faith in humanity restored.

Fucking great how they supported her.

I may need to watch this show more often.

I am literally crying this is making me so happy that there are people who will protect a perfect stranger especially religious people. I’m so used to hearing about people killing, hurting, misgendering people like me that I forget people like this exist.

Yeah, the thing I love about this is that two of the confronters were Christian…one IRISH catholic. Just goes to show that religious people are more accepting than some make them out to be.

For the record I would have totally been someone to just walk up  to the dude and yell in his face.

This show, god. I’m crying.

This made me cry a little. These people are so good, so kind..

Not only does this make me happy that religious people are so accepting but the fact that they were also older people. Usually it’s the older generation that has more problems with those types of things and it just makes me happy.
